EasyFix Ring Spring, S-Spring, Jersey Snap Fastener Tool

Type

You choose between a tool for ring spring, S-spring or Jersey snap fasteners . The type must match the closing mechanism of your snap fasteners; mixed types cannot be combined in a meaningful way.

• Ring spring: High closing force for more heavily stressed closures on bags, straps, outdoor and workwear.
• S-spring: Medium closing force with smooth opening and closing for clothing, bags and accessories.
  
• Jersey: For elastic and delicate fabrics such as jersey, sweatshirt fabric or knitwear, as well as for baby and children's clothing.

Size

The millimeter value refers to the outer diameter of the snap fastener being set.

Available sizes by type

• Jersey: 8 mm, 9.5 mm, 10.5 mm
• S-spring: 10 mm, 12.5 mm, 15 mm
• Ring spring: 15 mm

Important for your choice

• The size list is type-dependent: a 15 mm S-spring tool does not work with 15 mm ring spring snap fasteners

Application overview

• The tool is used for setting sew-free metal snap fasteners with ring spring, S-spring or Jersey mechanisms in the EasyFix system.
• You can use the tool for this with the EasyFix setting aid and a hammer, or with the Prym Vario pliers or the Prym Creative Tool.
• It does not replace processing with a screw-in upper tool in a hand or lever press.

Procedure

• Insert the upper tool part with the 5 mm pin into the matching receptacle of your EasyFix setting aid, Prym Vario pliers or Prym Creative Tool.
• Place the snap fastener parts correctly and position the material.
• Carry out the setting process in a controlled way depending on the system used.

Special note for Jersey with mother-of-pearl

• For the Jersey tool, use the supplied extra part only for mother-of-pearl Jersey snap fasteners, not for other Jersey versions.

Requirements

• To work, you additionally need a suitable processing base such as the EasyFix setting aid, Prym Vario pliers or Prym Creative Tool, as well as matching Getmore EasyFix snap fasteners of the same type and the same millimeter size as the chosen variant.
• When using the EasyFix setting aid you also need a hammer.
• The tool alone does not replace the processing base or the consumables.

With Getmore Crafts products

• The EasyFix setting aid accepts the threadless 5 mm pin of this tool.
• Together with matching Getmore snap fasteners in the chosen type and the chosen millimeter size, the tool forms the intended set-up.
• The tool is not intended for direct use as a screw-in upper tool in a classic Getmore press.

With products from other manufacturers

• The tool also fits into the Prym Vario pliers and the Prym Creative Tool, so you can use it to process matching Getmore snap fasteners.
• Snap fasteners from other manufacturers may have different geometries; reliable function is not guaranteed.
