Cover individually: Make buttons to match your fabric or leather instead of being limited to ready-made standard buttons in colour and finish. Each blank consists of cap and back part and is joined into a covered button with the matching tool .
Load-appropriate: Choose a plastic back part for clothing and textiles, or metal with a sturdy eyelet for more heavily loaded upholstery work.
Materials clearly separated: The cap is always made of corrosion-resistant aluminium. The choice between plastic and metal applies only to the back part with eyelet.
Clean finish: Blank and tool must be the same size so the button is fully and cleanly formed.
Size with impact: Small variants suit fine fabrics, blouses or accessories; medium sizes fit jackets and coats; large formats suit bold decorative and upholstery projects. This lets you plan button impact deliberately — subtle or clearly prominent.
Product information "Button Blanks Plastic, Metal"
These button blanks are two-part shells for covering with fabric or leather. The cap and covering material are joined with the matching
button tool
to form a covered button. This lets you make custom buttons for clothing, accessories or upholstery work.

Size
Button size is traditionally given in so-called English lines (lignes).
For buttons, one English line equals 1/40 inch, i.e. 0.635 mm.
For easier orientation, we also state the size in millimetres.
Common notations and abbreviations include e.g. L for line/ligne,
the double prime ″, the triple prime ‴
and colloquially "er". A designation such as 24L,
24″, 24‴ or 24er thus denotes
a button of size 24 lines.
Conversion: Size in lines × 0.635 = diameter in mm.
Example: 24 lines correspond to approx. 15.2 mm.
