Product information "Eyelet Tool Standard Eyelets - Thread: M6, M8"

This eyelet tool is designed for standard eyelets in the chosen size. The tool size follows the inner diameter of the eyelet, so you match tool and eyelet using the same millimeter size.

Depending on the variant, the upper tool part is made with M6 or M8, while the lower tool part is designed for the 12 mm bushing . The two-part tool sets the eyelet and washer in one press stroke and requires a suitable press for this.

Which size do I need for my eyelet tool?
The tool size must always match the inner diameter of the standard eyelet. For a 5 mm eyelet, you therefore choose a 5 mm tool.
Do I need to pre-punch the material?
Yes. Standard eyelets are inserted into pre-punched material with this tool.
Does this eyelet tool fit my press?
This listing is designed for presses with M6 or M8 upper thread and a 12 mm bushing at the bottom.
Can I also process DIN 7332 eyelets with this tool?
No. This tool is designed for standard eyelets. For DIN 7332 eyelets you need the matching DIN tool.
What is the difference to the 1/4"-20 UNC version?
The function is the same, but the upper thread is different. This variant is intended for M6 or M8 presses, while separate tool variants are provided for 1/4"-20 UNC.
Are the upper and lower parts included in the delivery?
Yes. You receive a two-part eyelet tool with an upper and a lower tool part in the chosen variant.
Why should the eyelet and washer be set in one press stroke?
The eyelet hardens after deformation. That is why the eyelet and washer should be positioned cleanly and set in a single press stroke.

Notes on use

  • Check the upper tool part regularly for a firm fit and retighten it if necessary.
  • On the spring impact press , the upper tool part should be firmly tightened with suitable pliers.
