Product information "Eyeletting Press Set DIN Eyelets"

This set combines your chosen toggle press or spring-strike press with the matching DIN eyelet tool and 50 self-tapping round eyelets to DIN 7332. You receive a matched combination for durable eyeletting without having to source press, tool and eyelets separately.

Via the attributes size, material and press you configure the set to match eyelet size and working method. The chosen size applies equally to the DIN eyelets and the matching DIN eyelet tool. All eyelet variants, whether brass, stainless steel or steel, have a silver surface.

The components follow the same logic as the corresponding individual items in the Getmore Crafts range: press, tool and consumables are technically related and can be reordered individually as needed.

How does this set differ from the standard eyelet set?
This listing features DIN 7332 eyelets with matching DIN eyelet tool and the powerful presses intended for this line. The standard eyelet set addresses the standard eyelet line with a different tool and different system logic.
Do I need a pre-punched hole?
No. The DIN 7332 eyelets in the set are self-tapping. If you still want to pre-punch, orient the hole to the inner diameter of the chosen eyelet.
Why only toggle press or spring-strike press?
DIN 7332 eyelets are robust and need sufficient pressing force. TEP-2 and screw press are not intended for this line; this set therefore offers only the powerful presses.
How do I find the right size?
The chosen size applies to both the eyelets and the DIN eyelet tool. Orient yourself to the planned hole and the desired load capacity.
Are the parts the same as when bought individually?
Yes. Press, tool and eyelets follow the same logic as the corresponding individual items in the catalogue.
What is special about the 16 mm variant?
At 16 mm the washer has serrations so the eyelet is less likely to slip during pressing.

Size

  • You choose between 10 mm, 12 mm, 14 mm and 16 mm inner diameter.
  • The size applies to the DIN eyelets and the DIN eyelet tool included in the set — both are always dimensioned the same.

Material

  • Stainless steel, brass and steel are available.
  • Surfaces differ by material: stainless steel untreated, brass nickel-plated, steel zinc-plated.

Press

  • Toggle press: High pressing force via the toggle mechanism; intended for fixed mounting on a stable table.
  • Spring-strike press: Mechanical spring strike with low own force; usually usable without fixed table mounting.
  • Both presses are intended for the DIN 7332 line in this set and fit other Getmore Crafts tools with 1/4"-20 UNC thread.

What you can tackle immediately with the set

  • You choose size, material and press and receive the matching combination of press, DIN eyelet tool and 50 eyelets.
  • The self-tapping DIN eyelets cut in when set; separate pre-punching is generally not required.
  • Choose eyelet size based on the planned hole and desired load capacity of the eyelet seat.

Which press when

  • Toggle press: Sensible when you need very high pressing forces with comparatively low effort and can mount the press fixed.
  • Spring-strike press: Sensible when you want many repetitions with even strike and little physical effort.

Workflow

  1. Screw the upper tool part into the press and tighten with pliers.
  2. Insert the lower tool part into the 12 mm holder.
  3. Check that both tools are clean, free of residue and undamaged.
  4. Place the eyelet with the shaft facing down in the upper tool part.
  5. Place the washer with the dome and serrations (only 16 mm eyelets have serrations) facing up in the lower tool part.
  6. Position the workpiece flat and tension-free on the lower tool.
  7. Work with even pressing until eyelet and washer sit cleanly.
  8. We recommend a test pressing on a sample piece first to check press setting and material behaviour.

Avoid typical misconceptions

With Getmore Crafts products

  • The set uses the same system logic as the individual items: press, DIN eyelet tool and DIN eyelets match the respective product pages in the catalogue.
  • The toggle and spring-strike press both work with 1/4"-20 UNC thread and are compatible with all our tools and can be converted to M8 thread if needed.
  • For further applications simply buy matching tools and consumables for your existing press later.
