Product information "Eyeletting Press Set Standard Eyelets"

This configurable press set combines standard eyelets with matching hole punch and eyelet tool plus your chosen press. You configure the package via press, size, colour and material attributes so components in the chosen variant technically match and you do not need to align individual parts first.

The fixed core is always the same workflow: punch, set eyelets, finish mounting — with press, hole punch, eyelet tool and a starter quantity of eyelets in your chosen specification. Standard eyelets are central; DIN 7332 systems are a different tool and eyelet line requiring other tools and usually more powerful presses.

Your chosen press remains the long-term centre of your setup: later you add matching Getmore Crafts tools and consumables instead of changing the entire system.

What exactly is always included in every variant?
Press, hole punch, eyelet tool for standard eyelets and a starter quantity of matching standard eyelets — each in the size, colour and material combination of your choice.
How do I choose the right size?
Size couples eyelet inner dimension, hole punch and eyelet tool. Orient yourself to the planned hole and desired eyelet opening; change size only as a complete variant.
Do I need a pre-punched hole?
Yes. Standard eyelets in this line are set with a prepared hole; hole diameter follows the chosen size.
Why is the set more sensible than individual purchases?
You receive the central chain of press, hole punch, eyelet tool and eyelets in a technically matching combination — instead of checking four individual decisions against each other.
Can I expand the press later?
Yes. Further Getmore Crafts tools and consumables with the same holder logic fit your chosen press — e.g. other eyelet sizes, snap fasteners or hollow rivets, if listed for your press.
When is my chosen press no longer enough?
Very large snap fastener blanks over 23 mm, DIN 7332 eyelets or extremely tough multi-layer packages are often the wrong combination for weaker press variants; then more powerful toggle or spring-strike presses are usually the better choice — depending on your chosen press.
Are these the same components as individual items?
Yes, merely matched together and slightly cheaper.
How do standard eyelets and DIN 7332 differ?
Standard eyelets in this set use the standard eyelet tool and the described pre-punch logic. Normed DIN 7332 eyelets are self-tapping and significantly more robust, requiring a different tool and a strong press; do not mix the systems.

Size

  • Size denotes eyelet and tool size together: inner diameter of standard eyelet, matching eyelet tool and matching hole punch are combined in the same size step.
  • Choose size by planned hole, desired eyelet inner dimension and visible edge; change size only as a complete variant.

Colour

  • Colour describes the visible surface effect of the chosen eyelets and helps optical matching to fittings, fabric and leather.

Eyelet material

Eyelet material affects appearance, resistance and suitability. Steel, brass and stainless steel are available.
  • Steel: Our zinc-plated steel eyelets are the most economical choice for simple, decorative or less durable applications.
  • Brass: Brass is rust-free, easily formed and proven for eyelets when function and appearance matter equally.
  • Stainless steel: Stainless steel is the most robust and durable option — rust-free, uncoated and naturally silver.

Press

  • The press determines force, handling and expandability. Lighter lever presss suit many standard eyelets; very hard packages, large snap fastener blanks over 23 mm or DIN 7332 eyelets often require a more powerful toggle press or spring-strike press.
  • Which presses are selectable results exclusively from variant configuration.

Which variant fits your project?

  • Light textiles, bags, labels and typical reinforcements benefit from smaller to medium eyelet sizes.
  • Outdoor and damp applications favour rust-free variants; warm brass tones suit classic leather and canvas looks.

Preparation and processing

  • Back thinner fabrics, keep multi-layer areas flat and ensure clean hole guidance.
  • Press calmly and straight; if stubborn, check material stack, tool use and chosen size before pressing again.

Workflow

  1. Install hole punch and brass anvil in the press.
  2. Position workpiece flat on anvil and punch all holes where an eyelet will sit.
  3. Remove fabric residue from the punch tube.
  4. Screw upper eyelet tool part into press and tighten with pliers.
  5. Insert lower tool part into 12 mm holder.
  6. Check both tools are clean and undamaged.
  7. Place eyelet with shaft up in lower tool part.
  8. Guide punched hole of workpiece over shaft of inserted eyelet.
  9. Place washer over shaft and workpiece.
  10. Press eyelet preferably in one stroke.
  11. If eyelet is loose, repeat pressing.
We recommend a test pressing on a sample piece first.

With Getmore Crafts products

  • In your chosen variant press, hole punch, eyelet tool and eyelets are matched.
  • Tools and presses in this set use 1/4"-20 UNC thread and 12 mm lower holder, allowing exchange of other tools with same thread and/or holder.
  • Depending on press, thread and holder can be converted — see respective product page.
  • Tool in this set is not for DIN eyelets. You can buy tool separately but need a spring-strike or toggle press.

With products from other manufacturers

  • This set is designed for Getmore standard eyelets and included tool; function with eyelets or tools from other manufacturers cannot be guaranteed.

Your package contains

Press-specific additional content

  • Accessories such as hex keys, nuts, centring aids or mounting material may vary or be missing depending on chosen press; check included scope before first use if needed.
