Product information "Backing plate for circle cutter"
The backing plate for circle cutter is the lower counter plate in the Getmore press: it sits in the 19 mm lower holder and works together with the circle cutter when punching round cuts from fabric, cloth, leather or thin plastic.
The round plastic form with fixed dimensions is specifically developed for our circle cutter and supports blade protection as well as controlled resistance during cutting.

Does the backing plate fit my Getmore press?
The backing plate is intended for the lower 19 mm holder. Approved use with eyeletting press TEP-2, screw press and spring-strike press.
Is the backing plate alone sufficient for circle cutter punching in the press?
No. For use of a circle cutter in the press, the holder for circle cutter is always additionally required. For punching you also need the circle cutter itself.
Is the backing plate a wear part?
Yes. The backing plate is classified as a wear part and can be replaced individually when needed.
Can I use a circle cutter from other manufacturers?
Circle cutters with smaller diameter than the backing plate are generally not excluded. Tested approvals for individual third-party manufacturers are not available.
Application
- The backing plate forms the support surface below when punching round discs from fabric, cloth, leather and thin plastic with the circle cutter .
Mounting
- Remove the installed bushing, insert the backing plate into the 19 mm bore of your press and secure it with the side clamp screws.
- On the spring-strike press the lower holder sits in the movable holder; on eyeletting press TEP-2 and screw press directly in the press.

- Holder for circle cutter: For use of a circle cutter in the press, the holder for circle cutter is always additionally required; the backing plate does not replace this component.
- Circle cutter: For punching you need the circle cutter as the cutting tool; the backing plate is the lower counter plate.

- Presses from other manufacturers require a 19 mm bore. However, we cannot guarantee clean function.
- Circle cutters with smaller diameter than the backing plate are generally compatible.
